Please remove your shoes when you come in, and make yourself comfortable in the waiting area; your practitioner will come out to greet you when ready. The clinic is currently by-appointment only, and offers direct billing to most insurance companies, ask at your next appointment!

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy aims to improve mobility, restore function, alleviate pain, and promote overall physical health and well-being through a combination of movement and exercise, manual therapy and education.

Dr. Janet Belliveau graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Chemistry from McGill University in Montreal. She then went on to graduate with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

During her clinical internship, Dr. Belliveau was the President of CMCC Students’ Council and sat on many institutional committees. Throughout her four years at CMCC, she won 17 awards to recognize her leadership, volunteer work, service to the profession, and academic success. She was also recognized for her compassion, selfless manner, and spirit of always wanting to help others.

Her passion to help others is what drove her to this profession. She believes that all treatment plans should be evidence-based and individually catered to each patient. Her treatment plans include manual chiropractic adjustments and mobilizations, soft tissue techniques, active rehabilitation, patient-education, cold laser therapy and Shockwave therapy. Dr. Belliveau is also certified in SmartTools, an instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy and FRC, or Functional Range Conditioning.

Dr. Belliveau is board certified in both Canada and the United States, and is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the British Columbia Chiropractic Association, and the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia.

Dr. Belliveau is the 1st Vice Chair on the British Columbia Chiropractic Association board, where she represents the chiropractors of Vancouver.

Originally from England, Tom’s passion for how the human body moves began with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Cardiff Metropolitan University. His education continued with a professional diploma in soft tissue therapy from the Oxford School of Sports Massage, which was a stepping stone to his ultimate goal of becoming a physiotherapist. Tom achieved this by graduating from St. George’s, University of London and soon after that emigrated to Vancouver with his wife to live the west coast life. Since moving to Canada, Tom has worked in metro Vancouver in private practice and has continued his professional development by becoming certified in IMS and as a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified physiotherapist. As an avid golfer, Tom enjoys utilizing his TPI knowledge to help optimize body mechanics and enhance the game of golfers of all abilities. Tom’s treatment approach utilizes a combination of exercise, manual therapy and education and he is passionate about building a collaborative, person-centered therapeutic relationship to set the foundation for empowering his clients to reach their movement goals. Tom enjoys hiking with his dog, soccer, snowboarding, going to the gym and spending time with his wife and two kids. Tom Ellis is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia.
